How to stay focused and improve your concentration

1. Get enough sleep. Adults need seven to nine hours a night, and any lack of sleep will negatively affect your concentration throughout the day. Make sleep a priority! 2. Eat breakfast. If you do not your short term memory and concentration will suffer. For breakfast eat whole grains, high protein foods, and avoid sweets. 3. Avoid logging into social media sites while doing work. It's OK to do so during breaks but it is better to complete a task then allow yourself to log on. 4. Multitasking will not make you more productive. It is best to concentrate on one task, and then move on to the next once you're finished. Studies show you are the most efficient when you're focusing on one task compared to multitasking. 5. Don't let boring tasks slow you down. Set up a reward for yourself to motivate you to complete a boring task. This will help you accomplish your goal. --Get more valuable tips like these regarding your health at www.WebMd.com
